Lauren and Michael Marchand are the owners of Lapa'au Farm in Maui, Hawaii. Two years ago they started farming in upcountry Maui on 2 acres where they grow a variety of organically grown salad greens, root crops, and oyster mushrooms. They are passionate about helping spread awareness about the importance of soil health, small scale bio-intensive organic farming methods, the local food movement, nutritional health and advocating for young people to return to the rewarding profession of farming.
