Hi beautiful tribe! 

We feel very excited and blessed to honor Grandma Alta and Grandpa Terrell as our special guests for the upcoming Praising Earth community celebration. 

Join us at the IAIA Hogan, Sunday May 5th at 4:00pm as we listen to wisdom teachings and sacred stories, sing and dance in celebration with community, and honor the arrival of Spring with a yummy feast.

We are in such gratitude to have Grandma Alta and Grandpa Terrell share their deep well of love and wisdom with us during this celebration. This is the first time that Praising Earth will have an honored Grandmother and Grandfather to represent the women's nation and the men's nation together in reverence. 

Grandma Alta is one of our beloved elders on Praising Earth's Basket Of Seeds Grandmother's Alliance. She has traveled from the Navajo reservation many times to sit as an elder in our community. She has a lifetime of wisdom and experience working to preserve Navajo history, song and practices. She also worked with Native Americans for Community Action, Inc., counseling and supporting hopi-navajo individuals during time of relocation. 

Grandpa Terrell is a member of Illuman, an international men’s organization dedicated to helping men progress on their spiritual journey. He has been a counselor for over 30 years and utilizes Native American Pathways for his own personal inner peace and for his work with Native and non-Native clients.

We are looking forward to sharing this beautiful experience with you all. There will be a potluck feast to enjoy after the ceremony. There is also a childcare program available. We invite you to bring a yummy dish to share and enjoy!
